JOHN MCLELLAND January 16, 1921 - September 16, 2005 Peacefully on September 16, 2005, at the Victoria Hospital, after a valiant struggle with cancer, John passed away at the age of 84. He was born in Ponoka, AB and moved to Manitoba in 1934. John was predeceased by his parents, Duncan and Jean; brother Bill; and beloved wife Marjorie. He is survived by son Russell (wife Dale) and grandchildren, Cameron (wife Traci), Amber and Courtney; his loving wife and companion Sylvia; sisters, Margaret, Mary and Barbara; sister-in-law Romaine; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John worked as a barber hairstylist at the Mall Hotel and the Viscount Gort for many years. He was very involved with the Barber's Association throughout his career. Upon retirement he enjoyed his summer home in Gimli, visiting with family in Alberta and United States and travelling to many countries around the world. In lieu of flowers send contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
