JULES PAUL JEANSON 1918 - 2005 We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend Jules, while surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 22, 2005 after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 87 years. Dad was born in Lorette, Manitoba on July 19, 1918. He worked for Modern Dairies, Mid West By-Products and for the last 15 years at Canadian Tool Die Ltd. where he retired at the age of 65. Dad was predeceased by his wife Claire (Carignan) on October 12, 1992 after 48 years of marriage, his parents Octave and Cordelia and four brothers. Dad will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his children Denis (Ruth), Marcel (Lilliane), Lorraine (Claude) Rivard, Diane (Louis) Cyrenne, Gilles (Lou-Ellen), 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, special friend Florence Vouriot and her family, numerous brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces and nephews. Dad enjoyed life to the fullest and participated in many activities including playing cards, bowling, golfing and was known to recount a few jokes. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Club Richelieu (St. Boniface) and River Gardens 2 club and volunteered numerous hours especially during the Festival du Voyageur. He developed lasting friendships, which was evident in the many hospital visits he received when he became ill. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren: Robert Jeanson, Marcel Jeanson Jr., Dan and Brian Rivard, Roger Cyrenne and Michelle Jeanson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Family Parish, 778 Archibald St., with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Coates, all the staff on 6A South, St. Boniface General Hospital, who treated Dad with dignity and care. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in his memory to CancerCare Manitoba, ON109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
