Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON PETER ESSELMONT Peacefully, on September 21, 2005, our beloved brother, uncle and great-uncle, Gordon Esselmont, passed away at Concordia Place at the age of 83. On March 18, 1922, Gordon Peter Esselmont was born to Peter and Isabella Esselmont in the family home, Transcona. During the Second World War, Gordon was employed by the CNR. He later was employed by Campbell Motors, and also maintained a saw sharpening business from his home. Gordon leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his sister Isabel; brother Bruce; nieces and nephews, many great-nieces, nephews and cousins and sister-in-law June. Gordon was predeceased by parents; his sister Catherine; three brothers, Kenneth, Hector and George; his sisters-in-law, Mae, Eunice, Evelyn, Allie and brother-in-law Ward. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the entire 3rd floor staff of Concordia Place Care Centre, for the care and compassion extended to Gordon over the last four years. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 26 at 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., with Rev. Victoria Luke officiating. If friends so wish, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Concordia Place Care Centre, 1000 Molson Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2K 4L5. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
