Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH BETTY ELLIOT Sadly, we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother Elizabeth (Betty) Elliot at the Glenboro Personal Care Home on Friday, September 16, 2005 at the age of 95 years. Predeceased by her husband Kenneth of 67 years; parents George and Nellie Curtis; brother and sisters, George Curtis, Helen Stewart, all of Winnipeg, Anne Colvin of Victoria, BC; brothers-in-law Walter Colvin and Michael Stewart; sister-in-law Dorothy Curtis. Betty was born in Winnipeg July 3, 1910, completed her schooling in area schools before going to work at Eaton's prior to her marriage to Kenneth May 3, 1935. Ken was a Pool Elevator Agent and they made their homes in Silver Plains, Brunkild, Beresford, Cypress River and Cartwright, before retiring to home at Cypress River in 1978. Betty was able to stay in her home with the help of the Home Care Girls until her last year when she resided at the Glenboro Personal Care Home. There Betty thoroughly enjoyed the Staff and in return she was affectionately referred to as Miss Daisy. Left to mourn her passing are their only son Allen and wife Marilyn of Winnipeg; grand-children, Kerry (Debbie) Elliot - Winnipeg, Barbara (Ken) Imlach - Brandon, Dawna Kaltenberger - Winnipeg; great-granddaughter Kaitlyn Kaltenberger and step great-grandchildren Nolan and Erin Imlach; nephews, Dean Colvin of Victoria and George Curtis of Kenora; sister-in-law Marjorie Blank of Kelowna, BC. In keeping with Betty's wishes, no formal service will be held. A private family inurnment will take place in the Ash Niche Columbarium at Brookside Cemetery in Winnipeg. Memorial donations may be made in Betty's memory to the Heart and Stroke Fund, Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of one's choice. Jamieson Funeral Service of Glenboro were entrusted with the arrangements. The Winnipeg Girl is back home in Winnipeg.
