HANFORD BARTON 1923 - 2005 We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather Hanford (Hammer) surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 22, 2005, at the age of 82. Hanford was born in Hardwood Ridge, NB, a place he loved to visit. Hanford was predeceased by his sister and brother. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survived by his daughters, Val (George) of Stonewall, Lynn (Rene) of Winnipeg, Bernadette (Leo) of Beausejour; three grandchildren, Nancy, Chad and Rick; four great-grandchildren, Brittny, Hana, Corey, Darian and several nieces and nephews. He served in the Second World War and was a member of the Charleswood Legion and Rockwood Army and Navy, where he played darts and crib with his many friends. He will be sadly missed. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Rockwood Army and Navy, 341 Wilton St., Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
