GEORGE NELSON 1921 - 2005 With sadness, we announce the passing of our brother and uncle George at the Pinawa Hospital on Thursday, September 22, 2005 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. George was born in old Pinawa where he attended school. He worked in the oil fields in Alberta, then became a carpenter and worked up north until his retirement. He was a very meticulous carpenter! He was predeceased by his father Carl in 1937 and mother Anna in 1958, sister Ella in 1998 and brother-in-law Don Spalding in 2002. He is survived by his sisters Lillian Spalding, Joan Niemi (Melvin) and Margaret Mikolaychuk (John) and their families. Our sincere thanks to the staff and doctors for the wonderful care he received in the past six years at the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home. There will be no formal funeral service. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home.
