Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) JOHN WIEBE With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bill on September 22, 2005 at the St. Boniface Hospital with family at his side. Bill leaves to mourn, Evelyn, wife of 57 years; daughters Kathy Robertson (Wayne), Cindy Lo (Kam); sons Dennis (Bev), Rob (Linda), Alf (Candy), as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters, two brothers, and many nieces and nephews. You are missed by your loyal friend Elmo. Bill was born in Russia on November 12, 1921 and came to Canada at eight years of age. He grew up on a farm in Domain and later moved to Winnipeg after serving overseas in the Second World War. Dad returned home, learned a trade and spent most of his life doing sheet metal work, always ensuring that there was food on the table and a roof over our heads. After retiring Mom and Dad enjoyed many years at Camp Neustadt playing cards, visiting friends and feeding the critters that seemed to know when he was around. Dad also enjoyed woodworking, building many things for his family. Dad, you will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. The family wishes to thank Dr. Kramer and all of the staff on 5E and 5B at St. Boniface Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2005 at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main St. with viewing prior to the service. Interment will follow in LaSalle Mennonite Cemetery. In Bill's memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., R3L 0K6. FRIENDS FUNERAL SERVICE - 339-5555

My thoughts and prayers are with you although I am far away. The lessons I learned from Uncle Bill in my youth are still with me today and I am ever grateful for them. - Posted by: Pat Steele (Family) on: Sep 24, 2005
