DAVID MCMASTER ELLIOTT July 29, 1930 - September 22, 2005 With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of David Elliott on September 22, 2005 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 45 years, Sylvia; son Michael (Tania); daughter Lynne; brothers, Ray (Lil), Vincent (Alra), Northern Ireland; special Aunt Bernice Mueller; sister-in-law Shirley Mulvey (Stan); grandchildren, Alea, Dana and Pierre; extended family Dorothy Morris, Gloria and Mary Huckles, Art Lobson, Tim Pedden and Ingrid Wiebe, as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews and very dear friends who have all shown such wonderful support and compassion over the past few months of Dave's illness. Dave was born in Bangor, Northern Ireland. He immigrated to Canada in 1956 with his brother Ray. Dave began his sales career in Winnipeg before moving out West to eventually develop his own company. In 1978 the family moved back to Winnipeg and he retired in 1991. He spent these last 14 years enjoying retirement. He was an avid bowler, pool player and enjoyed a good game of crib. He most enjoyed the company of family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff on the 8 floor at St. Boniface Hospital for their kindness and compassion shown to Dave and our family. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 28 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
