Audrey was predeceased by her beloved husband, Arnold, cherished brother-in-law and friend, Arthur, and infant daughter, Isabelle Sharon. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Robert Cullen, her children, Arnold Peabody and wife, Shirley, Brian Peabody and wife, Caroline, Karen Krasny and husband, Peter, and Deborah Antonissen, and husband, Lou. She was a devoted grandmother to Jonathan, Robert, Warren, Jeremy, Frans, Jennifer, and Crystal. She will also be missed by sister-in-law Muriel Rosin and husband, Edwin, niece Sondra and husband, Ray, and grand-nephew, Daniel. Audrey was born in Toronto, April, 1, 1924. Throughout her childhood, the family made frequent moves. In addition to Toronto, Audrey spent her early years in Montreal and Winnipeg and summered at Minaki and Jasper. She recalled with fondness her CGIT years while living in Halifax. The family returned once again to Winnipeg where Audrey attended Kelvin High School. After graduation, Audrey attended Angus Business College and was a member of the Alpha Iota Sorority. She began work at the T. Eaton Co. where she soon met her husband, Arnold. In 1951, Audrey and Arnold were married at St. Andrew's United Church and the couple settled into family life at 835 Bannerman Ave. Once the children were in school, Audrey returned to work on a temporary basis. She later accepted a full-time position at Air Canada, and eventually, returned to Eaton's. Audrey concluded her career in the Executive Office of Eaton's as a financial analyst. She officially retired in 1989. For five years, Audrey resided at The Wellington where she enjoyed the company of old and new acquaintances alike. Audrey was a longtime member of St. John's Anglican Cathedral. She was an active member of the Daughters of the Nile, Sphinx Temple No. 116 and served several terms as secretary of Bethel No. 5 of the International Order of Job's Daughters. She enjoyed reminiscing with former Eaton employees and continued an active interest in the Eaton's Retirement Club for as long as she could. Audrey's greatest love was her family. She revelled in every opportunity to share in the life of her children and grandchildren. Both she and Arnold loved to travel and together they explored Great Britain, Europe, Australia, Mexico, and Fiji. Music held a special attraction and the couple delighted in attending performances of some of the world's greatest opera companies. More recently, Audrey continued to vacation with her children and grandchildren in California, Florida, Mexico, and at nearby Clear Lake. Audrey lived her life with dignity and grace. She has left us with a legacy of love and compassion. The entire family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg for their attentive care and consideration. Pallbearers will be Messrs. Alex Krasny, Kenneth Rusak, Adam Rusak, Thomas Kraemer, Christopher Pilat, Brian Pilat and Russell Horbal.
