ETHEL MCDONALD Ethel, aged 86, died peacefully this past Sunday, September 25, 2005, surrounded by her friends and family. She lost her long battle with cancer which she had fought courageously for more than two years. Throughout her life Ethel was endlessly devoted to her family, friends and church. She is survived by her loving sons, David Armstrong, wife Thelma and children, Shelley, Jerrod, Meagan, Jennifer and Katherine; Bill Armstrong and children, Shannon, Kathleen, Laura, Judith and Elizabeth. She is also survived by a plethora of great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands Gordon Armstrong and Lloyd McDonald; her brothers, Robert and Harry McIntyre and her stepson John Armstrong. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 30 at 4:00 p.m. at Kirkfield Park United Church, 472 Kirkfield St., with Rev. Tony Maunder officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kirkfield Park United Church, 472 Kirkfield St., Winnipeg, MB R3K 1E6, or D'Arcy's Animal Rescue Centre, 1793 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0E8.
