Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDNA PHYLLIS GOW (nee NICOLSON) 1919 - 2005 Suddenly, but peacefully, with her family by her side, on Sunday, September 25, 2005, at the Victoria General Hospital, our beloved Mother passed away at the age of 85 years old. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, George William Gow, in November of 1988. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughter Linda Driedger and husband Joe, son Neil Gow and wife Laurane, Grandchildren Jason Driedger and wife Caroline, Sheila, Erin, and Taylor Gow, Great-Grandchildren Dustin, Keegan, and Owen. All of whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her sister Irene Cuffe and husband George, her sister-in-law Lexie Hinds, as well as many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Mom was born in Transcona on October 26, 1919 and lived in Winnipeg all of her life. Mom devoted her life to her family, took pleasure in the simple things in life, walks in the park, endless hours sitting by the river and when the opportunity arose watching the waves roll in at Gimli and Winnipeg Beach. Her greatest joy in life came from knowing that those she loved were happy and doing well. We are proud to have been able to call you our Mom and Nana and all of us are so fortunate to have had you in our lives. We will treasure you always. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday September 29 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home 1291 McGillivray Blvd. The family would like to acknowledge the compassionate care given to Mom by the paramedics and Hospital Emergency staff at the Victoria General Hospital in her final hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba 200-6 Donald St. Winnipeg, R3L 0K6.
