DOROTHY VIOLET LITKE Peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2005 as a result of cancer at Lakeridge Whitby, ON at the age of 77 years with her nephew Bob Robert (Donna) and niece Debbie Crawford by her side. She is also survived by her brother George Litke (Beatrice), sisters, Hannah Batenchuk and Toody Briese (Roy), 15 nieces and nephews and countless relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Augusta and Dan Litke; sister Elsie Telenko; brother Alfred Litke and brothers-in-law, Stan Telenko and Ken Batenchuk. Dorothy was born in Beausejour, MB and later lived in Burlington, Huntsville, Tillsonburg and later at the Court at Brooklin, ON. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 1 at 2:00 p.m. from Russell Funeral Home, Beausejour with Pastor Don Reimer officiating. Interment in the family plot at the Beausejour Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Oshawa Hospital Foundation or to the Durham Cancer Centre.
