Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN EDWIN FUDGE Peacefully on September 26, 2005, at the Golden Links Lodge in Winnipeg at the age of 96, John Fudge formerly of Camper, MB, passed away. He was predeceased by his parents, Frances and Harriett; brothers, Frank and Fred; and sisters, Jane and Ilfra. John is survived by one sister Mona Boyd along with many nieces and nephews. John was born September 3, 1909, in England and came to Canada with his family in 1911 at the age of one and a half years.He grew up and stayed in Camper area most of his life. In younger years, he played and coached baseball along with his four nephews on the same team.John was very musical and played instruments such as the fiddle, guitar, mandolin, accordion and harmonica.His music was in great demand especially for socials, weddings and school functions. John farmed cattle or sheep in the Camper area near to his brother Fred and his family.Occasionally he was called away to work on farms in areas such as Woodlands, Eriksdale and Starbuck, MB. In 1996, due to deteriorating health, he moved into a personal care home in Rosenort, MB, near to three of his nephews.When the flood of the century hit in 1997 and the care home was flooded, he moved to the Golden Links Lodge in Winnipeg. John had an exceptionally good sense of humour that we all enjoyed. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, at the Camper Community Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating.Interment to follow in the Camper Cemetery.Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Golden Links Lodge, 2280 St Mary's Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2N 3Z6. Arrangements by: ARNASON FUNERAL HOMES LTD. Ashern - Lundar (204) 768-2072

I just wanted to pass along my condolences. My father Harry Drylick, told me about your family when he was growing up in Camper also (1928-1996). We later moved from Winnipeg in approx. 1978 to Camper and lived down the road from your family farm in Camper (by the old store and post office). Again my thoughts go out to you and your family.
