JEAN DIXON (nee SUMMERS) Peacefully on September 27, 2005 at Misericordia Place, Helen Jean Dixon passed into the arms of our Lord at the age of 101. She was predeceased by her husband Tom Dixon and her brother John Summers. She leaves to mourn, her sister Violet Watt, six nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Jean was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1904 and came to Winnipeg as a child. She went to work by the age of 12. She eventually settled at Aronovitch and Leipsic from which she retired at the age of 65. Through the years she had been active with the Business and Professional Womens Club and McClure United Church. For 20 of her retirement years she lived in Victoria which is where she met her husband Tom. The family thanks the staff at Misericordia Place for their wonderful care and concern during her last five years. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 30 at McClure United Church at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to McClure United Church would be appreciated.
