GERALD LAURENT JOSEPH LUSSIER 1931 - 2005 Peacefully, after a lengthy battle with cancer, with family by his side, Gerald passed away on Monday, September 26, 2005, at the age of 74 years. Left to cherish his memory are his mother Maria; sisters, Florence, Denise (Leonard) and Leona; brothers, Robert (Marge), Andre, Antoine (Margaret) and Alfred (Marlene); as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Napoleon (1979); brothers, Joseph and Lucien; and by his sister Rose-Marie. Gerald was born and raised in St. Eustache, MB, where he worked on numerous farms for many years. He moved to Winnipeg and worked for Con Force Structures until his retirement after 35 years. Gerald was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 23 for many years. There he curled Sunday mornings where he made many friends. He was also a member of the original Brooklands Rod and Gun Club. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 1 at 10:30 a.m. in Blessed John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Ave. at Rouge Road, with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P.H., V.F. presiding. For those who wish, viewing will take place prior to Mass. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined.
