Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHERMAS JEAN LOUIS RICHAUD Hermas Jean Louis Richaud of 74 years died peacefully with his family at his side on September 27, 2005 at E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital. He will be greatly missed by his wife Evelyn of 54 years, daughter Bonnie (George) Clarke and their children, Sean, Jason (Charlotte), Sheldon (Jennifer) Benedictson, Monika (Blaine), Michael (Tina), Matthew (Dawn), Rebecca, Tanya (Joe) Clarke; daughter Wendy (Ken) Sweetland and their children, Jeff, Joel, Janalee and Tony; daughter Debbie (Randy) Surgenor and their children, Trevor, Scott (Val), Tara (Karl); several great-grandchildren; adopted daughter and son Val and Fred Revet, sister Therese and many nieces, nephews and friends. Hermas was born January 6, 1931 in Eriksdale, MB. He farmed in Deerhorn until 1975 and had a great love for farming and the land. He then worked at various occupations until he retired. He enjoyed fishing, curling, card games, playing guitar and singing, dancing and hockey, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He taught his girls the gift of music and loved our family sing-songs. He overcame some health problems in later years with bravery and dignity. Dad never complained and never had an unkind word about anyone. He was predeceased by his parents Auguste and Eulalie, brothers Jean, Joseph, August, Henry; sister Virginia and Marie. Mass and Prayers will be said on Friday, September 30 at 7:00 p.m. in St. Olaf's Catholic Church in Lundar. Funeral mass will take place at the Lundar Legion Hall on Saturday, October 1 at 3:00 p.m. with Fr. Rene officiating. Interment to follow in the Abbeville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Fred Revet, Al Budge, Allan Chartrand, Lorne Irwin, Wayne Burke and Ron Nast. Honorary pallbearers will be all of his grandchildren. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital for their loving care of both Dad and our family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital Guild, in care of Gail Holmes, Eriksdale, MB R0C 0W0.
