KATHERN JORGENSON KNIGHT I completed my journey through life on Tuesday, September 27, 2005. I was born in Franklin Municipality to Henry and Paulina Daudrich. My husband George Jorgenson (1964) and son Dale (1988), parents, Mom (1980) and Dad (1994) and sister Irma Bayer preceded me in death. I know I will be deeply missed by my remaining family, sons, Donald (Aline), Douglas and Raymond (Karen) Jorgenson; grandchildren, Andrew, Crystal, Kelsey, Jean-Louis; and great-grandchildren, Carter and Kolby; sister Valerie Daudrich; brother Harold (Liza) Daudrich; brother-in-law Len Bayer; the Jorgenson and Knight families; stepchildren; and my many precious nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. Also, I was married to Kenneth Knight from 1973 to 1992. When I was young I was involved in all kinds of sports. Track and field was one of my best as I was one of the fastest runners in our school. I also played hockey, softball, volleyball and basketball. I started my working career at Morris General Hospital, then because of changes in my life had to move on. I continued with my education and spent seven and one half years at the University of Manitoba (UofM). The last 20 working years were spent at the UofM in the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. I made many good friends along the way and no matter how tough life could be at times, they were always there for me and I am so very grateful. To my special friend Maurice, who gave me the courage and caring to fight this terrible disease and to all of you for your prayers and support, I thank you. We will meet again in a better place. Many thank-you's to the doctors, nurses, and health care workers who looked after me and made my illness easier to cope with. A celebration of my life will be held on Friday, September 30 at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Rd., Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or a charity of your choice. Morris Funeral Home 746-2451 Toll Free 1-866-746-2451
