Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWIN (EDDIE) (BASS) BALZER Peacefully with his family by his side, Ed Balzer passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 56 years. He is survived by his wife Christine and son Kristopher. Also his mother Mary Balzer, one brother, two sisters, six brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law and their families and many other relatives and friends. Ed was predeceased by his father David Balzer, father and mother-in law, Raymond and Kay Dawes. Ed was employed by Canada Post from which he recently retired in 2003. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 3 at 3:00 p.m. at the McIvor, MB Church, 200 McIvor Ave. with viewing prior to the service. Private interment at a later date. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice. FRIENDS FUNERAL SERVICE 339-5555

It was Al Kelsch that called me last week to give me the sad news about Eddie. It was 9 years ago, when I last had a visit with Ed and met his lovely wife Christine. Eddie had an "eye" for the ladies, always treated them well and obviously chose a great life partner with Christine. Eddie treated everybody well. When he spoke of others it was only to say good things, ask them "how ya doin", can I get you anything?
