Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMILIENNE (EMILY) ROY (nee CHARTIER) July 12, 1914 - September 29, 2005 It is with heavy hearts and much sadness that the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Emilienne (Emily) Roy announce her passing on September 29, 2005, at the St Pierre Hospital. She was 91 years of age. Mom lived her last year at the Chalet Malouin in St. Malo. Previously she resided in Brandon and in St. Lazare, MB. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Yvonne, Leo (Rachel), Robert (Marie), Albertine (Roger) Moran; her grandchildren, Michel, Josee, Daniel, Joel, Monique, Alisa and Jenau; her great-grandchildren, Solange, Simon, Sebastien, Genevieve and Ruby. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert Chartier, Charles (Bettie) Chartier; and her sister Sr. Aurore Chartier; also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Albert in 1990. Welcoming her to heaven with the Lord will be her parents Emile and Rose-Anna Chartier; sisters, Therese Thompson and Clementine Legault; and her brothers, Georges, Fortunat, Paul, Ernest, Gerard, Aime and Auguste. She loved and devoted her life to her family and showed them how to love by being a role model. She was a very good cook and after a visit, we never left home without a care package. Family, friends and strangers were always welcome for a short or long visit. Thank you to all the homecare workers at Chalet Malouin who took such good care of her. You showed lots of love and compassion. Thank you to the nurses and staff at the Centre Medico de Salaberry in St. Pierre where she received the best of care. Sincere thanks to Dr. M. Brennan and Dr. M. Duplessis. In lieu of flowers, donations, if friends so desire, can be made in her memory to any of the above health care centres or the charity of their choice. Viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Brandon, MB, on Monday, October 3, Father Leo Fernandes officiating. That same afternoon at 3:30 p.m., there will be a short prayer service held at the St. Lazare Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the local cemetery with Father Michel Nault officiating. Mom, thank you for your love and understanding. Thank you for being our guiding light. You will never be further than in our hearts. On t'aime beaucoup!
