LILLIAN PAROBEC DZWONYK On Thursday, September 29, Lillian passed away at her residence at the age of 70 years. Lillian is survived by her daughters, Taisa (Brent) of Winnipeg and Pazia (Glen) of Kenora, ON; sons, Zenon of Winnipeg and Evhen Danylo (Cheryl Palmer) of Toronto, ON; grandchildren, Matthew, Maia, Emma and Alex Horning, Nicholas and Eve Charlebois. She also leaves to mourn her sisters Rose Chuchmuch, Vera Rodeck, Caroline Antoniw and Helen (Paul) Sidoryk. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ewstachij Stanley; parents, Alex and Lena Parobec; brothers, Peter, Michael, Evans, Lawrence and Johnny; sisters, Victoria and Ann. Lillian was born February 7, 1935 in Angusville, MB and was the 11th of twelve children born to Alex and Lena Parobec. She married Ewstachij Stanley Dzwonyk on August 7, 1958 and moved to Kenora, ON in 1963, where they raised their family. They moved to Winnipeg in 1992 after retirement. Mama was dedicated to raising her family. She was a true believer in Our Lord. Baba/Babee loved her grandchildren and was always so proud of them. She was a huge influence in their lives. Lillian was an elementary school teacher in Toronto, Winnipeg and Kenora. She was an amazing artist. Her works have travelled the world. Her paintings are cherished treasures for so many friends. Everyone who met our mom went away with something more. Lillian was a compassionate, kind, gentle and forgiving person. She left the world knowing that we will continue to do God's will. The family would like to thank Dr. Carey Isaac and Dr. Jack Lezack, the staff at Palliative Care and at CancerCare Manitoba. Prayers will be said on Sunday, October 2 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson with Divine Liturgy being celebrated on Monday, October 3 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church with Fr. Ray Lukie, C.Ss.R. as celebrant. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Rodeck, Dale Sidoryk, Glen Charlebois, Nicholas Charlebois, Brent Horning and Matthew Horning. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lillian's memory to CancerCare Manitoba. I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one goes to the Father except by me.
