ANTONIA STEINHAUER (nee BERBEKA) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear sister, aunt and great-aunt, Antonia, on Thursday, September 29, 2005 at Luther Home, in her 89th year. Antonia leaves to cherish her memory, sisters Rose and Jean (Dave); brother Frank (Anne); sister-in-law Martha, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, and husband Albert. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Antonia was blessed with caring parents and siblings. Her marriage to Albert, then in R.C.A.F., found them in many countries in Europe, and bases in Canada. Upon Albert's retirement, they built a home in Rivercrest. They enjoyed their park-like setting, which was home to many family outings. Antonia loved to bake and cook, garden and entertain. She was an active member of St. Theresa's Parish, where she enjoyed the company of many fellow parishioners. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 4 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, 3597 Main St. with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery.
