Date of Passing: Oct 02, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN AGNES ANDERSON (nee ROSE) Lillian Anderson, just ten days prior to her 91st birthday, passed away surrounded by her loving family at the Grace Hospital on Sunday, October 2, 2005. Survived by her two loving daughters, Brenda Kay (Bob) and Janet Chilton (Brien Clement); and her two grandsons, Shaun (Suzanne) Kay and Darryl Kay; her loving sister Janet Garton (Bob); niece Colleen Goldie (Garton); nephew Tim Garton and many other nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Archie Anderson in 1984, her mother Isabella (Gillespie) and father John Rose of Ochre River, MB, her son-in-law David Chilton in 1992 and her brothers, Jack, Gord, Ken; and sisters, Edna and Lucy. Lillian was born and grew up in Ochre River. Losing her mother at the age of 17 she took over the job of raising her younger siblings. Lillian spent many years at McKenzie Island, ON where her two daughters were born and raised. In retirement she and Archie moved to Neepawa and after Archie's death she moved to Winnipeg to be closer to her family on whom she doted. Mom had a wonderful sense of humour and was a very kind and gentle soul. She enjoyed a good giggle and loved talking about her family, past and present. She was a great lover of animals. Flowers are gratefully declined. If one wishes, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba would be appreciated. Rest in Peace Mom A memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Tuesday, October 4 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Eden Funeral Home 4477 Main Street 338-7111
