Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARRY STEFANYSHYN Peacefully, with his wife by his side, on Sunday, October 2, 2005, Harry Stefanyshyn, aged 82 passed away at Donwood Personal Care Home. Harry is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Sally; children, Derek (Nancy), Karen, Dale (Ulrike), Tracy (Mike), Todd (Robin); 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also, Harry is survived by his brother Paul and Essie in Toronto, Eddie (Irene), Stanley (Connie), sister Elsie in Edmonton, Stella (Ed), and sister-in-law Catherine. Harry was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Mary; and his brothers, Steve and Henry. Harry was born July 9, 1923 in Narol, MB. He was employed at Imperial Oil Refinery in East St. Paul. After 20 years he took an early retirement. Harry enjoyed the outdoors and especially the many fishing and camping trips with his wife and friends. He loved hobby gardening and enjoyed the company of his little grandchildren following him around. All who knew Harry loved him. He was a devoted husband and father. To his family he was known as Mr. Fix It ' spending endless hours in his garage creating new inventions and fixing old ones. After 42 years, Harry and Sally moved to North Kildonan taking up residence at Edgewood Estates. They met many new friends there. After his health failed, Harry resided in Kildonan Personal Care Home and then moving to Donwood Personal Care Home. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the excellent care providers at both care homes. Also, a sincere thank you to all friends and family who took time to visit Harry during his illness. Memorial service will be held at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 264 Donwood Dr., North Kildonan on Wednesday, October 5 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Wenceslao Rebillaco officiating. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. My uncle was a good and sensible man, who looked after his wife and children well and was proud of their accomplishments.
