ELLEN EMILY MCKAY May 2, 1920 - October 1, 2005 Peacefully in her sleep, on October 1, 2005 at the Tudor House in Selkirk, our beloved mother and grandmother, Ellen McKay, passed away at the age of 85 years. Ellen was born in Toronto, ON and graduated as an R.N. from St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto in 1944. She was predeceased by her husband, James in 1999 and leaves to cherish her memory son Jim (Susan) of East Selkirk and grandsons, Jamie, Shane and Ryan; son Keith (Barbara) of Stony Plain, AB and grandsons Charles and Robert; sisters, May (Gordon) and Jean (Harold) of Mississauga, ON and many nieces and nephews. Ellen was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 35, Selkirk and Lakeshore Chapter 257 in Toronto, and Althea #2 White Shrine of Jerusalem, Winnipeg. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 8 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
