Mr. Bud William Andrew Stobart, P.Eng. born in Carman, MB on February 6, 1931 and passed away peacefully after a courageous but short battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at Welland Hospital. Beloved husband of Millie for 52 years. Loving father of Mark Stobart (Sandy) of Naperville, Illinois, Sandy Tisdale (Mike) of Midland, Texas, Matt Stobart (Michelle) of Aurora, Illinois, Jennifer Stobart of Toronto; and predeceased by his sons, Tom and Todd. Also loved by his grandchildren, Mike, Matt, Kailee, Julie, Tommy, Jake, Zach; and his great-granddaughter Haylee. Predeceased by his parents Rene and Arnold Stobart and his sister Isabelle. Sadly missed by his brother-in-law Gord Reed, and sisters-in-law, Grace Wylie, Margaret Emek, Bert Trow, Glady and George Oelkers and their families. Mr. Stobart was employed with Horton C.B.I. for 38 years prior to his retirement in 1991. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, loved all sports and was an avid golfer and member of Hunter's Pointe Golf and Country Club. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2005 at the James L. Pedlar Funeral Home, 1292 Pelham St., Fonthill, ON. The memorial service celebrating Bud's life will be conducted at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 1557 Pelham St., Fonthill, Friday, October 7 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 1557 Pelham St., Fonthill L0S 1E0, or to Family and Children Services of Welland, 654 South Pelham Rd., Welland L3C 3C8 or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
