Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE KARPOFF March 31, 1924 - October 2, 2005 With great sadness we announce the passing of George Karpoff on October 2, 2005 at the WCGH in Port Alberni, BC. George was born and raised in Whitemouth, MB. In 1941 he joined the army and was shipped overseas. After returning from the Second World War, he came to Port Alberni and married his wife of 57 years, Margrete (nee Johannessen). They then moved to Hamilton, ON for 10 years after which they returned to the west coast and made Ucluelet, BC their hometown since 1960. He was predeceased by his brothers, Walter and Hubert. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Larry (Ann), Ester, Al (Betty), Linda (Henry), Jack, Carol (Norm) and Albert (Hilda). George's request is to be returned to his hometown of Whitemouth to be placed to rest near his brother Walter. There will be no funeral held by his request.
