AUDREY MARGARET IRVINE (nee LOTHIAN) Audrey Irvine, a loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away at home on October 3, 2005. Audrey leaves to mourn her loving husband David of 49 years, sons, Keith, Mark (Verle-Ann) and Kevin and grandchildren, Cameron, Chad, Garth, Travis and Amy. Audrey was predeceased by her father Daniel in 1952, sister Marie in 2000, mother Florence in 2001 and daughter-in-law Bev in 2004. Audrey is also survived by her niece Rae Ann (Brian) Wanner and their children, Cara, Matthew, Joshua and Jayda, nephews, Dan and Tim Stewart, aunt Ethel (Mel) White and uncle Clifford Wilton. Born in Kennedy, SK on January 25, 1932, Audrey completed high school and entered nurses' training in Regina. Upon graduation as a Registered Nurse, she entered the University of Alberta, where she took advanced training in labour and delivery. She returned to a nursing position at Moose Jaw Union Hospital in the Maternity Ward. Audrey met Dave in 1954 and they were married on June 23, 1956 in Moose Jaw. In 1957 Dave and Audrey welcomed Keith into their lives, followed by Mark in 1962 and Kevin in 1964. In 1965, the family moved to Regina and in 1967 moved to Winnipeg. Providing a loving, comforting and safe home was Audrey's next career which she did superbly. We enjoyed many family vacations at Kenosee Lake, Detroit Lakes and a number of rented cabins at various lakes over the years, with the highlight being a train trip to Vancouver. Audrey returned to nursing in 1975 at Deer Lodge Hospital and then later worked at Oak View Place until retirement in 1992. Audrey faithfully attended Westwood Presbyterian Church until her illness prevented attendance. She enjoyed working in the church nursery, knitting, reading and gardening and followed golf and football, especially the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Grandma was always willing to help out where she could especially with the grandchildren and their dogs. We love you and will miss you. A memorial service will be officiated by Rev. Ian Shaw at Westwood Presbyterian Church, 197 Browning Blvd. on October 7 at 2:00 p.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
