EMILY PATLUK (nee SZYMANSKI) October 20, 1915 - October 2, 2005 With saddened hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Sister, Aunt, Mother, Busia and Great-Busia, Emily, on Sunday, October 2, 2005, at the Beausejour and District Hospital, at the age of 89 years. She is survived by brothers, Tony, Stanley and Ted Szymanski; sisters, Jean Phillips (Frank) and Bernice Topaloff (Ted); daughters, Karen Anders, Elaine Conley (James) and Janice Patluk (David); grandchildren, James Conley, Shannon-Michelle Plischke (Grant), Sharla-Don LeTourneau, Aaron Wojcik (Gayle); great-grandchildren, Sarah Emily, Aryn, Hailey, Nathan and Brayden; numerous nephews and nieces and a large spiritual family of Jehovah's Witnesses. Emily was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Margaret Szymanski; brothers, Henry (in infancy), John, Joseph, Paul and Walter Szymanski; sister Francis Tomsavic; beloved husband Michael Patluk; and son-in-law Glen Anders. Forever a prairie farm girl at heart, Emily took great pride in a job well done and set high the example of hard work, determination and Godly devotion to the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who treasured her. Emily will be affectionately remembered as an unforgettable lady, whose strong spirit, soft heart and matter-of-fact sense of humor touched the lives of all those who came to know and love her. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, October 8 at 2:30 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Anola, MB. A private family interment will be held at the Pine Ridge Cemetery. Many thanks to Dr. N. Van Rensburg, the staff at Beausejour and District Hospital and our compassionate friends, whose support and prayers during this difficult time are greatly appreciated. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • My sincerest sympathies to you Janice and to your sisters. Thinking about you at this time, probably a little more so because my Mom passed away just a month ago, so I have a good feeling of what you might be going through. Janice - have been asking about you for years. No one seemed to know where you were. Please contact me, I'd love to hear from you. Take care, be kind to yourself.
