PAULINE KATHERINE KRENTZ (nee STILKOWSKI) It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. On Monday, October 3, 2005 Pauline was tragically taken from us in a car accident along with her son Steven Krentz. She will be sadly missed by her husband Wayne Krentz; her two daughters, Allyson (Tony) and Heather (Jarek); and her grandchildren, Braedyn and Mikayla Chartrand. She also leaves behind her mother Mary Stilkowski; five sisters, Shirley (Bill), Pearl (Reg), Irene (Clarence), Carol (George) and Bonnie (Perry); and stepsister Noreen as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Nick Stilkowski and her mother and father-in-law, Bill and Gertie Krentz. Pauline was born in Winnipeg, MB on May 26, 1958. She attended North Thalberg School in Thalberg, MB where she lived on the farm with mother, father and sisters. For grades 9 to 12 she attended Edward Schreyer School in Beausejour, MB and graduated in 1976. Wayne and Pauline were married on September 30, 1978 in Greenwald, MB and lived on the Krentz farm. She was blessed with three wonderful children who were the centre of her life. There was never a volunteer as dedicated as Pauline. She was a 4-H leader for 14 years, 4-H council member for three years, Sunday School teacher for over 15, ELW member and church council member. Not only was she a volunteer but she was a chauffeur for her children and their friends, a dedicated cheerleader at their games and a shoulder to cry on when they needed it. Pauline was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. It was her job to spoil her two grandchildren whom she loved to colour and play with. If a friend was in trouble she was there to help. The staff at East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home will all miss Pauline. For 14 years she worked on the Alzheimer Unit where she absolutely loved her work. We love you and will miss you always. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 7 at the Brokenhead River Recreational Complex at 2:00 p.m. with viewing beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Greenwald. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, a donation in Pauline's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
