JOSEPH HAWRYSHOK Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Joseph Hawryshok, on Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 91 years. Remaining to cherish his memory is his son Ronald. Joseph was predeceased by his wife Kathie in 1976; and daughter Annie, who passed away in Calgary, AB in 1963. She was employed at the Hudson Bay Store and was deeply missed. On February 18, 1914, Joseph was born and raised on a farm near Marco, MB. Joseph married Kathie in 1939 at a church in Olha, MB and they were later blessed with two children, Annie and Ronald. The family operated a mixed farm, where they grew wheat, raised cattle, pigs and chickens. They later sold the farm and moved to Brandon, where Joseph had resided for the past 45 years. Joseph's parents immigrated from western Ukraine. The Belbas, Pomehichak and the Mezeresky families live in Manitoba and the balance of relatives are spread throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario.
