PHYLLIS PAUL (nee ABRAMSON) 1916 - 2005 Phyllis Paul (nee Abramson), of Winnipeg, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2005 at the age of 89 years. Phyllis was born and raised in Winnipeg where she attended St. John's High School. Phyllis was the beloved wife of Israel (Issie) Paul and for over 50 years they shared their love and their lives together until his passing in 1986. Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, Mila and Jack Abramson; her siblings, Bill Abramson, Joe Abramson, Anne Triller, Rae Krolik and their spouses. Her grandchildren, David Paul and Trevor Paul also predeceased her. She leaves to mourn her four children, Bobby and wife Elaine, Mark and wife Faye, Joan, Gordon and wife Karen; as well as her grandchildren, Sharon, Michael and wife Stephanie and Beth, Asher, David, Matthew, Rael, Bradley, Robyn and Zachary. Phyllis' two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Joseph Trevor (J.T.) were her special delight in her last years. She also leaves many devoted nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on October 2 at the Etz Chaim Synagogue and interment followed at the Rosh Pina Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Rory Paul, Steven Ratson, Gary Ratson, Alan Paul, Jamie Paul and Rael Paul. Phyllis's life was devoted to her husband, family and her very close friends who provided her with endless hours of pleasure and who were equally devoted to her. The family would like to thank the staff of the Simpkin Centre for their kindness and affection to our mother during her latter years. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phyllis' memory can be made to the Shalom Residences Inc. or the charity of your choice.
