JEAN SANDERSON (nee WALKER) It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jean Sanderson. Jean passed away peacefully in her sleep October 5, 2005. She leaves to mourn her beloved husband Lloyd of sixty years of marriage, her three sons Rick (Anne), Terry (Lonnie and their children Ashley and Kalyne) and Kevin (Lori and their children Tyler and Tanner). Extended family, very special friends, Susan Dyck, Dietta Cripps. Numerous friends who all had a special place. Jean was predeceased by her parents, sisters, Rose and Ann and brothers Charles, James, and Harry. Jean was born August 17, 1924 in the Eriksdale area to Alexander and Maggie Walker. She worked in British Columbia with the railway, moved back east to Manitoba, getting work at the Rivers Air Force Base in the mess hall and by luck she met her handsome soldier. Mom and Dad were married September 1, 1945, settling in Winnipeg to raise their family. Mom was an awesome homemaker. We will remember Mom as a wonderful cook, world famous for her big dinners with turkey and all the trimmings, especially new potatoes with Grandma's dill sauce. There were always freezers full of baking and no one left the house without getting coffee and cake and a visit with Mom and Dad. Gardening was another favourite pastime. Hours of work went into the garden and all of us were receivers of the garden veggies. Mom was always there for you and always appreciated a good laugh. We will miss the gatherings around the kitchen table talking about the good old days. Mom loved reminiscing about her boys when they were growing up. We will miss her beautiful eyes and her laugh. We will miss the love that she gave us all. Our family would also like to thank the Winnipeg Paramedics team for their compassion at our time of loss. At Jean's request there will be no service. Interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. We will miss you and love you forever.
