JANE MARIE ALLARD (nee MCGUIRE) After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Jane Marie Allard (nee McGuire) passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Riverview Health Centre, secure in the knowledge of the risen Christ and His promise of eternal life. Jane leaves to mourn her husband Leo Alfred; sons, Daniel, Darcy and David; daughter Rose-Ann Marie; sisters, Judith, Jo-Ann and Suzann; daughter-in-law Jennifer; brothers-in-law, Arthur and Georges; and a very special cousin, Christopher. She was predeceased by a brother Daniel; and her parents, Mary and Leo. In keeping with her very sweet and humble nature, Jane has asked that her many achievements, especially in the field of music, not be mentioned at this time, but rather she simply wished to thank God for the many blessings she received in her life, especially that of her blessed family, whose care and future she trustingly places in the Lord's hands. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. Interment will take place in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery. Our family would like to extend a special thanks to Fr. Henry Laciak; the staff of CancerCare at the Health Sciences Centre; the Grace General Hospital and Riverview Health Centre, East 3 nurses, Chris, Louise, Mariette, Wendy and special friend student nurse Lise and Mark Shepherd, Palliative Care Co-ordinator.
