FREDERICK H. J. GREEN (1927 - 2005) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Fred Green at the St. Boniface Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Gladys in 1990. He leaves to cherish his memory sister Elsie Gough of Summerland, BC; sister Barbara (John) Lambden; brother Ron Green (Elaine) of Thunder Bay; sister Sylvia Anderson of Guelph, ON; son Rick (Angela) Green; son Tom Green of Sault Ste. Marie; daughter Judi (Skip) Gryschuk of Kenora; son Doug Green (Dawn) of Winnipeg; son Bill (Karen) Green of Sanford, MB. Grandfather of Leeann (Shawn) Peters, Kelly Gryschuk, Peter Gryschuk, Debbie (Marcus) Olson, Marnie (Scott) Collins and Lyndsay Green. Great-grandfather of Grace Olson and Brynley Peters. Numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Fred was born in Thunder Bay to Lily and Samuel Green. Fred's 30 year career with Brinks Canada advanced him from Thunder Bay to Sault Ste. Marie, then to Winnipeg where he retired in 1991. Fred was an avid curler in his earlier days and took pleasure in participating in service organizations. He enjoyed golfing and gardening in his later years. Over the past five years Fred has truly enjoyed learning to operate his computer with many hours of chatting on line. Our sincere appreciation and thanks to all the 7th floor staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion shared with our father over the past three months. Fred will be remembered for his unique sense of humour and kindness. Family viewing will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined.
