THERESE (TERRY) KUSCHAK (TURENNE)
Born: Jun 01, 1926
Date of Passing: Oct 10, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHERESE (TERRY) KUSCHAK (nee TURENNE) With profound sorrow we announce the passing of Therese (Terry), our beloved mother, on Monday, October 10, 2005 at the age of 79, after a brief illness. Left to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory are her adoring daughters, Michelle (Scott), Corinne (John), Danielle (Richard), Joelle (Peter) and Renee (Dan); grandchildren, Brooke (Andrew), Robin (Jim), Dallas, Brad, Tracie and Jaimie; step-grandchildren, Crystal, Lisa and Anthony; great-grandchildren Camen, Sterling and Piper; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dear brother, Father Roland Turenne, S.J., who resides in Ethiopia. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Mary and Emery Turenne, our father Marcel Caron, her second husband John Kuschak, and six of her siblings. Mom was born on June 1, 1926, the seventh of eight children, and was raised in St. Boniface. She married our dad, Marcel in 1950. They raised their family in Charleswood, where she resided for over 50 years. After Dad's death in 1969, Mom was left to raise five daughters, ranging in age from 3 to 18 years. She worked at Grace Hospital, often on the midnight to 8:00 a.m. shift, to support them. Several years later, she met and married John, a kind man who took on the responsibility of this large family, and was wed to him until his passing in 1998. Always a faithful servant to her Church, Mom was the first woman Altar Server at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. In her retirement years, as a tireless and devoted companion, Mom brought peace and comfort to sick and elderly people in nursing homes throughout Charleswood and at Grace Hospital. Mom left a legacy of deep and abiding friendships. Along with a wonderful sense of humour and love of socializing, she bonded deeply with many, both young and old as she had an amazing gift for touching the very heart of a person. Her close friends have attested to the fact that she has had a profound effect on their lives. Rest well, beautiful Mother. You will forever be in our hearts. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 4588 Roblin Blvd. The family wishes to thank the staff at Grace Hospital for their compassionate care during our Mother's illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Therese's memory to Les Missions Jesuits, 25 rue Jarry West, Montreal, PQ H2P 1S6. For Missions of Father Roland Turenne, S.J. Dear cousins, I have fond memories of spending time at Memere's with you and your parents. "Aunty Terry" will be always remembered by all who knew her as a fun-loving caring person. She is in heaven now with my Mom watching over us all. Love to you all Edlaine - Posted by: Edlaine (Family) on: Oct 14, 2005

Dear Dallas and Family, Gerry and I were so sorry to hear of your Grandmother's illness and of her passing. We enjoyed our chats with her at Mass each week and the interest she took in our family. Terry always took the time to inquire about the children and compliment Paige on her contribution to the choir. We will miss her familiar presence at Mass. God has blessed you and your family.
