IRWIN WALLACE HOFFMAN (IRV) August 27, 1930 - October 8, 2005 Irwin went to be with his Lord on October 8, 2005 after a reoccurring illness, he died suddenly at this residence. Irwin was predeceased by his parents, Wilhelm and Helena Hoffman (Heinrichs). Irv will be sadly missed but remembered with great love. He is survived by his loving wife, Agnes of 48 years, son, Glen, siblings, Albert Hoffman (Lena), Anita Brown (Jake), Helmut Hoffman (Marie), Rudy Hoffman (Karlene), Harold Hoffman (Marg), Irene Braun (John), Dennis Hoffman (Jeannine), Marvin Hoffman, and many extended family and friends. Irv was born at home in Edenthal, MB; he resided in Southern Manitoba till 1953, until his move to Winnipeg. It was in 1953 that Irv was employed with Canada Safeway Ltd., for 12 years. In 1965, Irv entered the public service as an Agriculture Products Inspector, for Agriculture Canada, retiring in 1991 after 26 years of service. Irv and Agnes welcomed their son, Glen into the world in 1966, where many fond memories were created. Irv was also an active member of Sherwood Park Lutheran Church for many years. Irv enjoyed keeping in touch with former co-workers, family and friends. Irv was also fortunate to travel to far places, such as Europe and Hawaii. Public viewing will take place on Friday October 14 at 1:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m., held at Sherwood Park Lutheran Church, 7 Tudor Crescent, at London. Pastor Tom Lurvey officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to a charity of ones choice in memory of Irwin.
