Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES ALFRED MANNING Charles Alfred Manning was born July 25, 1910, and passed away on October 11, 2005. Charlie came to Canada as an infant and went to live at Mulvihill, MB. In his teens he went to Kelvin High School and learned to do electrical work. In 1930 he got a job with Canadian General Electric and in that year he installed a sound system in the Metropolitan Theatre and the Capital Theatre in Winnipeg. He joined the Army in 1939 and was discharged in 1942 with rheumatic fever. Charlie married Rose Lewis. Charlie and Rose loved to travel and went back 25 times to visit their home town, relatives and friends in England. Rose was an excellent pianist and is remembered for her contribution to the church services at St. James Anglican Church in Winnipeg. Charlie was predeceased by his wife, Rose, and his sister, Linda Manning earlier this year. Cremation has already taken place and a service to celebrate Charlie's life will be held at the graveside at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley Street at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2005. A private luncheon for close friends will be held at the Dakota Hotel, Back Dining Room, following the service. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
