HARRY GREGORY WOLIGROCKI It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Harry Woligrocki at the age of 96 years on October 11, 2005 at the Concordia Hospital. Dad was born in Lowland, MB on June 9, 1909 to Michael and Mary. He is survived by daughter Helen (Pat) Fitzpatrick; son Malcolm (Sandra); grandchildren, Kelley Fitzpatrick, Kevin (Cyndi) Fitzpatrick, Noreen (Michael) Hees, Trevor (Sonia) Woligrocki, Tracy (Trevor) Rolland; great-grandchildren, Shawn, Ryley, Steven, Rylan, Brooklyn and Haylee; sisters, Teenie Beley, Mary Dachuk, Lena Joba and Stella Garbolinski (Victor Modjeski); sisters-in-law, Anne Woligroski and Teenie Solowey; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Stanley and Nellie Rogocki and sister-in-law Stella Zdrill and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his beloved wife Rose in 1995; his sister Anne Zabrocki; brothers, William and Michael; brothers-in-law, Steve Beley, Michael Dachuk, Julian Joba, Nick Garbolinski and George Zabrocki. Our Dad was an amazing man. Although having a limited education, through hard work he achieved much. As a young man he helped on his father's farm, rejoicing on the days when he was able to go to school. He also worked as a harvest helper on farms south of Brandon. During the winters he would take a contract with the Pine Falls Paper Mill, cutting pulpwood and hauling to the mill for many years. In 1934, he married our mother Rose (Zdrill) and bought his own land. They farmed the land for 10 years then rented out the land and moved to the city of Winnipeg in 1943. He then purchased his own truck and worked for the City of Winnipeg Engineering Department for 33 years, retiring at the age of 68. During this time he built two cottages in the Whiteshell, one on Barrier Bay and the other in Otter Falls. In his spare time he did landscaping and construction projects. In 1945 he built his own house on Talbot Avenue, in which he lived and tended his garden until his passing. Our Dad was a kind and generous man. He did so much to help us in our lives and we are so grateful to him. We always came first with Mom and Dad. He loved his family and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him much joy. We are so fortunate to have had him for these many years. We would like to thank home care for the help that he received in the last few years, allowing him to remain in his home. Our thanks also to the staff of Concordia Hospital. Prayers will be held on Friday, October 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, October 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Watt Street and Munroe Avenue with Rev. Fr. Michael Winn presiding. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. We love you Dad and we will miss you. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
