Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLEMENCE FONTAINE (nee CHOISELAT) On Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at the Tache Centre Clemence Fontaine peacefully passed away at the age of 88 years. It is with deep sadness that she will be missed by her children, Yvette (John) Bauer, Roger (Jane), Lucie (Frank) Bittner, Louis (Nancy); eight grandchildren, Christina (Kevin), Katherine, Matthew (Julia), Larry, Shannon-Joseph, Elissa-Marie, Tricia, Christopher; and five great-grandchildren. Clemence was predeceased by her husband Edmond and their two children, Denise and Claudette. She is also survived by her sisters, Sr. Jeanne Choiselat, Sr. Marie Choiselat (sst), Sr. Antoinette Choiselat and Therese Allard; her brothers, George Choiselat (Cecile), Fr. Joseph Choiselat; and her in-laws, Daniel, Dolores and Eric. Mom was born on May 31, 1917 in La Broquerie, MB, where she grew up and then moved to Winnipeg where she worked as a nurse's aide at l'Hospice Tache and the St. Boniface Hospital, where she worked for 31 years also as a nurse's aide. While in Winnipeg, she lived in the St. Boniface area where she met and married her loving husband of 43 years, Edmond Fontaine. Together they raised their children and passed on to them their faith and commitment to family life. The family would like to thank the staff at the Tache Centre for the love and care they gave our mother during her stay there. Prayers will be held on Friday, October 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. with viewing one half hour prior to prayers. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 15 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Boniface Cathedrale, 190 rue de la Cathedrale, also with viewing one half hour prior to service.
