JOHANNA KUNCAITIS In Celebration of the Life of Johanna Kuncaitis. It is with great sadness, but with loving memories, that the family of Johanna Kuncaitis (nee Nolius) announces her peaceful passing on October 12, 2005. Johanna is survived by her daughter Ruta Caldwell (John) of California; son Ginter (Sherri); brother Alex (Renate); many nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Antanas; her parents, Ona and Albertas; her brothers, Albinas and Victor. Born in Lithuania in 1929, she and her family spent five years in Denmark at the end of the War until they immigrated to Canada in 1950. It was here in Winnipeg that she met Antanas. They were married in 1953. Johanna lived a giving life. She was a charter member of St. Casimir's Lithuanian Parish as well as a lifetime member of HMCS Chippawa Ladies Auxiliary. Johanna loved people; there were no strangers for her, only friends she had yet to meet. She had a remarkable memory and always remembered names and faces. Even while in the hospital, she made many new friends. Our family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff on the 3rd floor at Victoria Hospital for all of their loving care and kindness. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 17 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vital Roman Catholic Parish, 1629 Pembina Hwy. with Fr. Patrick Morand officiating. Interment and reception to follow. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, donations may be made in Johanna's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. You are my sunshine Somewhere over the rainbow Bluebirds fly Birds fly over the rainbow Why then, oh why can't I? Some day I'll wish upon a star And wake up where the clouds Are far behind me Where troubles melt like lemondrops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me Sweet Dreams Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca.
