Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOYCE LESEELLEUR (nee MOON) On Wednesday, October 12, 2005 after a brief illness, Joyce passed away at Concordia Hospital. Joyce was predeceased by her husband Gordon; daughter Lori; brothers, Bill and Jack; and parents, Mervin and Florence Moon. Joyce was born in Winnipeg January 3, 1924, but moved to Rivercrest in 1953 and resided there until August of this year when she became a resident of Kildonan Personal Care Home. She is survived by her daughter (Deen) Geraldine and husband Ralph Riter and stepson Robert G. LeSeelleur and five cairn terrier grand dogs . Joyce participated in the Second World War as a Lance Sergeant in the Canadian Women's Army Corps until 1946. She married in 1947 and held various jobs over the years as well as being Tawny Owl for the Brownies and volunteering for the Middlechurch Home. However, her best job was that of being a loving, selfless and generous mother and a great sense of humour. She will be sadly missed, but always remembered. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. We would like to thank Dr. Hamm and the nurses in Concordia Hospital and the staff at Kildonan Personal Care Home for their care and compassion. Also, many thanks to the home care staff, especially Karen (carrots) and Pat. Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Eden Funeral Home 4477 Main Street 338-7111 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolences at www.gleneden-mb.ca.
