JOYCE STOROZUK It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Storozuk, on Friday, October 14, 2005 at the Selkirk General Hospital, peacefully, at the age of 71 years, with her family by her side, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her husband John; son Greg (Leanne); daughters, Leslie (Brad), Kim (Dave) and Tracy (Jeff); and her very loved and adored granddaughters, Nicole, Jenna and Maddie; sisters, Essie Martin, Clee Starkell and Rose Parkin; also by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Florence Ellis; brother Sam and sister Florence Flot Harrington. Joyce was born on July 1, 1934 in West Kildonan. She met John and they were married on July 18, 1953. They lived in Lockport, where they raised their family, moving to Selkirk in 1990. She loved her trips to Las Vegas, Lake Louise, Grand Forks, Detroit Lakes and jaunts to Kenora. Joyce also enjoyed her evening walks and her cup of tea in the backyard. The family would like to thank Dr. Simcoff and Dr. Racette for their care and compassion, as well as Dr. Demsas for his visits and comforting words. We would also like to thank the nurses, the aides and the wonderful lady who cleaned her room. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare MB, or because of her love of animals, donations may also be made to her Pet' charity, The Winnipeg Humane Society. A mother is one who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
