IRENE DIANE SARRASIN (NEE BRUNEAU) December 17, 1923 - October 16, 2005 Irene passed away October 16, 2005, peacefully into the arms of our Lord at Villa Youville in Ste. Anne, MB, at the age of 81 years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 40 years, Florent; infant son Paul; her parents, Emilia and Raymond Bruneau; brothers, Donat and Hilaire; and sister Leona in infancy. She leaves to mourn her family, Jeannette (Ray Watson), Emile (Elaine), Claude (Laurette), Yvonne (Jeannot Robert), Cecile (Roland Robert), Eveline (Len Bialek), Denis (Suzanne), Jeannine (Raynald Gelineau), Rachel (Yves Francis), Rolland (Mariette), Renald (Lucille), Louise (Bill Buchanan), Bernice (Greg Shaw) and Michel (Sharon); 37 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is survived by her sisters and brothers, Delima Breton, Denis (Kay), Fernande Slater, Agathe Chuckree, Emilien (Kay), David (Faye), Marie-Paul (Ken Post), Germaine Duval and Real (Heather); sisters-in-law, Alice, Olive, Agnes, Barbara, Germaine and Dorothy; and brother-in-law Phillip. We would like to thank the staff at Villa Youville and South Eastman Regional Authority Home Care for their excellent care of our Mother. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Notre-Dame de Lorette Roman Catholic Church, Lorette, MB with Rev. Fr. Armand Le Gal, O.M.I. celebrant. Viewing will be held one half hour prior to Mass. Interment will take place at Green Acres Cemetery, Hwy # 1 E at Navin Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association Manitoba Division, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3G 1S6.
