SHIRLEY SIMPSON (nee STEPHENS) It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley, our wife, mother and granny on October 15, 2005 at Riverview Health Centre. Shirley will be lovingly remembered and missed forever by her husband Jack of 58 years; daughter Janet (Neville); grandchildren, Angie and Ryan; brother Eddie (Marge) of Chicago and extended family and friends. Shirley was born in Winnipeg on December 12, 1926 and attended George (V) and Lord Selkirk highschool. She married the love of her life Jack, on August 8, 1947. Shirley worked at Blue Cross, until the birth of her daughter. Her life revolved around her family. She was a wonderful mother and was thrilled when she became a grandmother. She loved working in her flower garden, and especially loved her rose bushes. Shirley loved to crochet and knit, making sure her family had lots of keepsakes to remember her by. She always had a smile on her face, and a helping hand extended to anyone who needed it. When music was playing, she couldn't keep her feet still. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff of Concordia Hospital, Riverview Health Centre, and Homecare. At Shirley's request cremation has taken place with no formal service. Flowers are gratefully declined and donations may be made in mom's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler @ Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
