KATHLEEN WOOD (nee SEMRICK) Peacefully on Saturday, October 15, 2005, in Winnipeg, MB, Kathleen Wood passed away at the age of 93 years. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Roy Wood; and parents, Michael and Irene Semrick. Kathleen was the last surviving member of the Semrick family. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Frances Blowatt, Marjorie (Gary) Bobson, Norman (Ethel May) Wood, Doreen (Glenn) Sears and Beverley Donaghue; 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Mom was an extremely hard working, dedicated, patient, and kind individual, always putting her family first. She enjoyed singing, poetry, and sharing a good joke. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are asked to meet at McKenzie's Portage Funeral Chapel, 56 Royal Road S., Portage la Prairie at 2:45 p.m. In keeping with Mom's wishes, a procession will be made to Evergreen Memorial Gardens, where there will be a graveside service held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2005 led by Rev. Margaret Scott. A luncheon will follow at McKenzie United Church, 85 11th Street NW, Portage la Prairie, immediately after the service. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made, in Kathleen's memory, to a charity of ones choice.
