Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY BEATRICE MCKEE (nee LYON) Peacefully with God's grace on Monday, October 17, 2005 at Kin Place Personal Care Home at the age of 88 years. Predeceased by her parents Sidney and Winnifred Lyon, her husband Jim (1974), granddaughter Nicole (1997), brother Harold (1999) and brother Edwin (2001). She leaves to mourn her son Mark from White Rock, BC, his children, Mark and Eleanor, her daughter Catherine (Derek), their children, Ryan, Paul and Lynnea, sister-in-law Muriel Lyon from England, nephews and cousins. Dorothy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She played the piano, her family were musically inclined. Attending Sunday school and church services at St. John's Cathedral in the North End of Winnipeg as a child. Church was a big part of Dorothy's life. She married Henry James McKee in 1942. Mom volunteered for her children's school activities and served as a correspondent for the Mother's Union of St. Martin In The Field Church where she attended church. Her favourite times were visiting with friends and family. Family was of utmost importance to Dorothy. Mom's favourite hymns were How Great Thou Art and What A Friend We Have In Jesus. We love you Mom, Nan and grandma. Good night and God bless. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Martin In The Field Church, 160 Smithfield Ave. The Rev. Mary Lysecki officiating.
