DOUGLAS JOSEPH KILBORN (JOE) With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Joe on October 17, 2005, two days before his 73rd birthday. Joe leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife Edna (Vi); children, Maryann (Orlando), Ginny (Wilson), Joann (Wayne) and seven grandchildren, Carol, Christina, Diana, Lisa, Becky, Josh, Shayne, and a soon to be first great-grandchild; brother Henry (Mary) and nieces and nephews. Joe was predeceased by his son Douglas 1953, Mom 1971, Dad 1981 and sister Flo 1994. Joe was born October 19, 1932 in Virden, MB and moved to Winnipeg in 1935. Joe worked at the CNR for 38 and a half years, retiring in 1988. He loved the outdoors and playing his guitar. After retiring Joe taught himself how to paint with oil paints and created beautiful nature scenes. Joe had a great sense of humour and loved to tell jokes. A big thank you to the wonderful palliative care staff at St. Boniface Hospital for the care given to Joe. In keeping with Joe's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB. My life on earth is truly past, I've loved you all to the very last. Weep not for me, but courage take, And love one another for my sake. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715
