HENRY URBANSKI It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and Brother on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at the age of 85. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Connie (Ray) Muth; grandchildren, Carlene (Craig) Strand and Brad Muth, great-grandson Logan Strand; sisters, Adeline Post, Mary Steffes, Vicky Modjeski, Bertha (Joe) Pfeifer and Eleanor (Bob) Srutowski, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Susie in 2004, parents Katie and John Urbanski and brothers Joe, Anthony and Casmir. Henry was born in Green Oak, MB. He married Susie Kazina in 1947; they farmed in the Green Oak area and later settled in Beausejour. He still farmed for many years even though he worked at Imperial and Shell Oil, the Air Force Base in Milner Ridge and AECL in Pinawa. He retired at aged 61 prompted by a diagnosis of throat cancer, which he was a 24 year survivor. When he gave up farming, he spent his summers at Bird River for the last 33 years. He particularly enjoyed fishing, playing crib with his grandchildren, campfires and visiting with family and friends. Dad also had a love for music, going to the Legion for Jamborees, musical evenings at the lake and enjoyed playing his violin. He had a passion for garage sales and re-finishing furniture, always sharing his garage sale treasures with us. Dad enjoyed his evening tea at Chicken Delight. His grandchildren were his pride and joy and he always enjoyed their phone calls and visits. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Susan from Home Care. In accordance with Henry's wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour with Rev. Fr. David Brabandt presiding. Interment will follow at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Henry's memory to Beausejour Health Auxiliary, East Gate Lodge , Box 1690, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0 or a charity of one's choice.
