BRIDGET BROWN (nee HORGAN) Peacefully, on Sunday, September 25, 2005, Bridget passed away at the Deer Lodge Centre. She was predeceased by her husband Harold Brown; three brothers; and two sisters. Bridget is survived by her sister Deborah of Toronto. She is mourned by many loving nieces and nephews in England, Rosemary, John, Eamonn, Anne-Marie, Deborah, Teresa, Philip, Daniel; her cousins; and many friends. Born in Ireland in 1924, Bridget trained in England as a nurse and midwife. She came to Canada in 1957 and worked at various hospitals in Winnipeg, including Deer Lodge. She was an active member of the Canadian Nursing Sisters Association until her recent illness. Bridge married Harold Brown in 1973 and cared for him until his death in 2000. Our family thanks the staff of S2 at the Deer Lodge Centre for their kindness to and caring for Bridget. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the Deer Lodge Centre Chapel, 2109 Portage Ave. with Fr. Robert Polz presiding. Remains will be interred in the family plot in Ireland.
