JESSIE MEEKISON March 29, 1924 - October 14, 2005 Peacefully, on October 14, 2005 Jessie passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 81. Jessie was predeceased by her husband Robert and her brothers and sisters in Scotland. She is survived by her daughter Ann (Doug) and many relatives in Scotland and South Africa. Jessie was an excellent homemaker, and loved cooking and baking. She made a house a home. She worked for a number of years at a daycare centre, preparing lunches for the children, which she loved. She was also a volunteer at Grace Hospital. For many years Jessie was a member of The Winnipeg Senior Citizen's Choir and enjoyed music and travelling with the choir. Jessie will be remembered for her loving nature, warmth of her smile and her generosity of spirit. Sadly we will all miss you, Jessie, Mother. She resided at Columbus Court for many years and had many treasured friendships. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 28 at 3:30 p.m. in the Lasting Tribute Chapel, 4000 Portage Avenue with Lt. Col. Maxwell Ryan officiating. Interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Senior's Citizens Choir of Winnipeg, in care of 315 Cordova St., Winnipeg, MB, R3N 1A5. Rest in Peace, The Lord has called.
